PARDON MY LIPS! ~ Color Swatches of TONY MOLLY Berry Berry Magic Lip Tints~
I have naturally dark lips, so forgive me for the transgression of showing them bare to the world haha. But here is my promised swatches of the Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tints. To read my rave on this tint, read my earlier post.
MY BARE LIPS
And now with the Magic Lip Tints!
TONY MOLY STRAWBERRY (Transparent to Pink)
A good tint for young girls and for that barely there, pink lips look
TONY MOLY GREEN APPLE ( Green to Magenta Red)
My personal favorite because I can use on its own to the office. It gives the best color match for my lips
TONY MOLY GRAPE (Dark Red to Red)
The dark red color doesn't really show up on my lips haha. Which is why this is my least favorite of the three. But I suppose for lighter lip colors this will have a nice red effect.
SWATCHES ON WHITE
From left: Strawberry, Green Apple, Grape
My fave of the three is still the Green Apple. How about you? Which one is your fave, your least fave?
P.S. For those asking, stocks of these will arrive at the shop on the 6th of June. Cheers!

Pretty Lips from Tony Moly
I have tried a number of products from Tony Moly : Dual Effects Intensive Sleeping Pack -- good but expensive; Party Lover BB Cream -- inexpensive but has a glossy finish which isn't really appropriate for office workers like me, plus a number of samplers from their Floria skincare line.
But hands down, my favorite Tony Moly product is this ultra-pretty and very inexpensive lip tint.
The Tony Moly Berry Berry Magic Lip Tint in Green Apple
Why do I love this? let me count the ways:
The Price: Very cheap! I think we sell this at a little over 200PHP at the shop. Of course I get it for a bit lower here in Seoul. :-) Just the perks of the trade, aight?
The Color: There are three variants of the Berry Berry Magic Tints:
Berry -- transparent lip gel which turns into light pink upon application
Green Apple -- green lip gel which turns into a reddish-magenta color
Grape -- deep purple lip gel which turns into a burgundy-ish shade of red
Among the three, I like the Green Apple shade most because the shade is so appropriate to use in the office. Like today, I didn't wear any lipstick at all, just this pretty lip tint and I was set. The finish on the lips isn't shimmery at all (For the record, I hate shimmery lip balms and tints as I've noticed that these do not have good staying power or good color pigments at all).
The Wear-off: Well, let me put it this way, I brushed my teeth after eating my breakfast at the office just about an hour ago, and my lips are still sporting that pretty reddish-pink tint.
What it can't do for you: This isn't exactly a moisturizing lip tint. This is a lip tint made to give your lips great and relatively long lasting color. It however will not help you with dry lips. For that, you're better of with Skinfood Shea Butter Lip Care Bar ( I love the one in Raspberry!).
Disclosure: The pics above are stock photos I got from the TM site. I was so excited publishing this (because I sooo love rediscovering this tint again!) that I wanted to publish the post now~while I am at the office haha!~ I will add actual photos of my own liptint and swatches later tonight :-)

A BAGFUL OF CHOCS
Lucky I dropped by the food section of AK Plaza today! I do not normally buy stuffs here because, well, AK PLAZA being really chi-chi has prices that are steeper than the big Korean supermarts. But I was looking for a particular kind of Campbells Soup (Chunky Chicken and Veggies) and I have seen some at this shop a few weeks ago so off I went.
Well, what do you know, there was a Chocolate Sale in the food section of the mall!
On sale were mostly European and US brands -- Guylian, Cote D’or, Lindt, Mozart, Hawaian Host and a few Korean chocs. Most chocs were at 30-50% off! Of course the catch was that the products are expiring in October 2011. But heck, I don't think my choco haul will last me till August haha, so I bought a few of the chocs I really loved. **It was an exercise in restraint, if I may say so**
I got myself these for my stocks:
(Prices are as converted from won to Pesos. These are ballpark figures not the exact converted prices.)
GoLightly Gluten Free and Sugar Free Butterscotch Candy – On Sale for PHP 100.00 per bag.
Guylian Belgian Extra Dark SeaShells ( Pack of 6 Personal Boxes) – On Sale for PHP 400.00
Each personal box has 6 extra dark chocolate seashells
Hawaiian Host Macnut Crunch – On Sale for PHP 250.00
18 pieces of chocolate covered Macadamias and crisped rice.
And my most favorite purchase of the day, something you don’t normally see in Seoul:
Lindt LINDOR Stracciatella 200g Box – On Sale for PHP 300.00
This is Lindt’s take on Cookies and Cream. White Chocolate Shell covering white chocolate and rick cocoa pieces. There were also Lindt Lindor Dark and Milk, but I decided to buy this because it’s not always an easy variant to get here or even in Dutyfree shops.
This is Not Chocolate
Yes, it has that dark, unmistakably smooth finish. It has that umami taste. But look closely and believe me when I say that this is not chocolate.
This is Black Food and yes, this is not chocolate. Thing is, that’s a good thing. Because it might prove to be even better than Chocs.
Today, I stumbled upon this crazy little NOT CHOCOLATE box in the midst of the Chocolate Sale in chi-chi AK Plaza. (And yes, of course I bought myself some chocolate goodies too, but that’s going to be on the next Choco Porn Post).
This Black Bean Bars are made purely of black soy beans and rice puffs. Think Nestle Crunch but instead of chocolate, you have that silky smooth, very subtly sweet velvety black bean flavor enrobing those tiny little rice puffs.
A box of five Black Bean bars cost about PHP 85.00. Pretty cheap, I guess, mainly because they’re still introducing the product to the Korean market.
My take: Because I prefer distinct flavors over sweetness, I am smitten by this Black Bean Bar. It is perfect for those who cannot tolerate sugar in big doses as this has very little sugar added. Plus of course, the health benefits of black soy beans: low glycemic index (i.e. will not make you crave for sugar), helps prevent cardiovascular disease (as per Korean reseach results), rich in antioxidants and reduces risks in certain cancer. This is a perfect non-treat on days when one wants something that's both sweet and healthy.

MY OBJECTS OF DESIRE: Parfumerie Curiosite Et. Al. otherwise known as My US Mini-Haul
The bestfriend is back in Seoul from his business –slash-leisure trip in the States! Because we’ve known each other for so long, he knows the extent of my (low) E.Q. when it comes to my pasalubongs, so tonight we met up after work and I was so happy to get this:
THE GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM CANVAS TOTE – One of my pasalubongs from him. It’s beautiful and lightweight, something I need when I go into impromptu straight-from-the-office buying sprees (for clients not me!). But truth to tell, I was giddy to get my hands on the stuffs inside!
First up, Margot Elena’s Perfumerie Curiosite!
I have been obsessed with all things Margot Elena for a few months now! Finally I got my hands on some of her stuffs. I bought four perfumes and a Bon Bon Lip Balm.
TOKYO MILK O6 DEAD SEXY 30 ml - Deep Vanilla, Exotic Wood. White Orchid, Ebony
TOKYO MILK 17 PAPER & COTTON 30 ml - Coriander, White Sage, Birch Wood, Tundra Moss
TOKYO MILK 01 POE’S TOBACCO 30 ml - Tabac, Tea Leaves, Amberwood, Autumn Apple
LOVE & TOAST SUGAR GRAPEFRUIT 10 ml - Pink Grapefruit, Orange Citrus, Warm Musk Lily
Here's the exquisite backside of Margot Elena's perfume bottles:
TOKYO MILK LET THEM EAT CAKE BON BON LIP BALM- This I opened immediately. OMG, It is so yummy smelling and so smooth on the lips that I want to eat the balm out of the jar! It smells exactly like vanilla butter cake!
The second bag is my Benefit Haul from Sephora. I actually just YM'd the bestfriend two days before he was to leave NY to get me a few stuffs from Benefit and was half-expecting to hear that he has no time to get them for me. But the beauty goddesses have conspired for him to be exactly at Times Square when he got my message, where a humongous Sephora Store is haha. So here are my latest Benefit babies:
THE POREfessional PRO BALM to minimize the appearance of pores
BELLA BAMBA 3D PINK BLUSH
DANDELION BRIGHTENING FACE POWDER
I also ordered some wellness and health stuffs that I really need but is very hard to get here in Seoul:
AMAZING GRASS GREEN SUPER FOOD CACAO DRINK POWDER
NOW STEVIA SACHETS – an all natural sweetener made from Stevia extract
SOURCE NATURALS CHLORELLA Broken Cell Wall Micro Algae Tablets
Oh and because I asked the bestfriend for a lipgloss for a pasalubong aside from asking him to carry all my above mentioned stuffs to Seoul ( I know, I know! I am such a crazily abusive bestfriend! Haha!) he got me a few Burt’s Bees stuffs too!
Burt’s Bees Super Glossy Sweet Pink Lip Shine
Burt’s Bees Naturally Nourishing Milk & Honey Body Lotion
I had a pretty manic Monday at work, and maybe I am being a bit too shallow, but these stuffs eased the stress out of my day. Thank you, Bestfriend M for carrying these for me ☺
So there, I hope you weren't at all irritated by my stark raving (happy) mad haul post :-) I promise to post individual reviews soon! ☺

Summer and My Stash of Korean Ice Cream
There is something wrong here. It seems that the weather gods have skipped spring for summer in Seoul. Except for a week of Cherry blossom (and death) extravaganza, all is not well. We have lost spring for summer.
The temperature is slowly climbing into the 20s and it is not even June! Ay, El Nino, is that you?
So what to do, what to do? Aside from bringing out the trusty electric fans from the closet (unless of course you are rich and can afford to turn on your AC the whole day!) there is nothing more indicative that summer is here than a sudden sale on ice cream!
I was out early today at my neighborhood grocery, and there it was, a 60% off on an assortment of frozen goodies. So being the gullible shopper that I am (and yes, frankly, I love Korean ice creams!), I picked a few of my favorite frozen delights. I hope these will last me a week! All the flavors I picked up are stuffs I have tried before and liked.Clockwise from top left : Red Bean Ice Cream covered in white candy shell, Sweet Corn Ice Cream, Watermelon Ice Lolly, Sweet Potato Popsicle and Walnut Mochi Ice Cream.
I am not a lover of chocolate in ice cream haha, which is why there is no chocolate flavored ice goody here. Also, why settle for boring chocolate when you have such zany range of flavors to choose from? ☺ Don’t you just love the crazy and unusual flavors these Korean ice cream makers think of?
Sweet Potato Ice Cream -- I love! But then, I love anything sweet potato. Yep, I am a lover of kamote.*grins*
Sweet Corn Ice – enclosed in a sweet corn waffle thing, this is not too sweet.
Red Bean ice cream – the most traditional among my ice cream stash. If you love anything red bean (like me) you’ll like this creamy ice cream.
Walnut Mochi – Two pieces of walnut ice cream with walnut bits enclosed in real mochi. Pretty satisfying, though I have to admit that the real thing does not really look anything like the mochi in the label. ☺
Red Watermelon Lolly – Just a hint of sweetness here but a strong watermelon flavor and nibs of sweet red bean candies (the “seeds” in the ice cream). Very light and refreshing.
So that’s my recent bit on ice cream. Do you love ice cream too? I know, people would tell us to stay away from sweet indulgences such as ice cream. But sometimes we do need some, aight? Because sometimes, I do think it is so true, that indeed,
Ice cream is happiness condensed. ~Jessi Lane Adams

[A HIGH CUT Rave] What Can You Buy With 25 Pesos in Seoul?
500 WON (approximately 25 pesos) is not enough to buy you a popsicle or even a pack of junkfood in Seoul. What it can buy you is this:
HIGH CUT: Secrets of Your Celebrities is an amazing, value-for-money glossy lifestyle-slash-fashion-slash beauty-slash-celebrity news magazine!
I first stumbled upon this mag when a friend who sells KPOP stuffs showed me the mag. He told me that frenzied KPOP fans in Pinas dig the covers and photos in this magazine since most of the covers and fashion shots are with KPOP stars. Apparently, it is so saleable that some KPOP sellers sell this uber-cheap magazine for as high as PHP 300.00. Talk about unethical opportunism!
Frankly, I am not much of a KPOP fan and have no plans of selling this magazine in bulk, so I will not comment on that. But I do like this magazine because it’s cheap and always contains a lot of fashion spreads, new product updates, plus infos on product how-to's. Yes, all are in Korean but the mag is so chocfull of pictures than for PHP25 pesos, and with all those how-to images , I think this is such a great buy.
It comes out about twice a month, and have just began buying every issue. PHP 25.00 for a bit of indulgent girly read is well worth it. They also cover events that only the super famous Koreans attend, like this extravagant launch of the Tory Burch freestanding shop in Seoul:
The first May volume of High Cut has 71 pages! One does wonder why it is so cheap? I guess because it is actually in tabloid glossy white paper. No, expensive hard magazine covers though the paper itself is super white and so unlike the newsprint used in even the US tabloid sheets. For a cheap tabloid sheet, you’d be amazed at the ads in High Cut, all from chi-chi brands. The issue I have contains ads from Cartier, Nina Ricci, Kuho, Hunter, Kiehl’s and Aveda.
I hope our Pinas lifestyle magazine publishers will also conceptualize something like High Cut, because even for me, a PHP 75.00 tag (the cheapest mag I've seen in Pinas) is sometimes enough for me to think twice of buying one no matter how much I like the features. If a magazine such as this can sell for PHP 25.00 in a super-expensive country like Korea, why can’t we have something like this in Pinas?

Let's Talk About Vita Tok
Finally, I found a Skinfood Pact that I love!
I have always felt shortchanged by the pacts from Skinfood. Aside from their Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder, I've been mainly dissapointed with Skinfood powders (having tried the Omija Complexion Pact, Carrot Pact and the Rice Shimmer Powder), it might just be my ugly skin haha, but the finishes of SF pacts have always seemed unnaturally off-color on my skin. Which is why aside from the Peach Sake Silky Finish Powder, I have never been loyal to any powder/foundation from Skinfood.
My normally oily skin has become dry and prone to flaking. I attribute this mainly to the M2 Skin Refinish Lotion that I've been using nightly. As much as I love the great finish and concealing power of my expensive Lotree Rosa Davurica Triple Cake, I've noticed that after
a few hours, flakes of dead skin and powder particles accumulate on my cheeks and jawline. I have tried using a moisturizer (also from Lotree) and a primer (Anna Sui Moisturizing Primer) but the flakes were still ever present.
I was set to buy a new BB pact from Missha. See, I have tried and finished Missha's Perfect BB Pact and I thought it was right to go back to it. It's a cream based pact, in between a powder and a liquid foundation. I've gotten complements when I was using this, I think precisely because it has very good coverage haha. But it is a bit expensive and is not really lightweight on the skin, so hmmm, was thinking if plunking another 25k won (about 1.3k in Pesos) was worth it.
Well, hello there, serendipity!
On a trip to Skinfood to buy some stocks for the store, I chanced upon a new product from their Vita Tok line. Vita Tok Water Pact -- the word "water" alone got me interested since I needed that for my parched skin. I tried it on my hand and I loved the smooth, almost airy application.
So yes I bought one and after three weeks of use, here's my talk on the Vita Tok Water Pact.
What it supposedly does, according to Skinfood: It has Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid to keep the skin moist. It is an emulsion type pact which dries into a light powdery finish.
What I like about this product: Not too expensive at about PHP 900.00. There is a separate container for the applicator sponge which makes using it more hygienic. The emulsion-type foundation is amazingly light on the skin. Not creamy (like most BB creams and BB pacts) but smooth-watery. It is hard to describe the lightness of this pact because it does dry to a light powdery finish after a few seconds. I like that it does its work by preventing the flakes from forming on my face but is not too heavy nor oily, so I suppose if one's face is not too oily, this will work.
Another good thing is the shade ( I use the darker shade, #23 Natural Beige). Unlike the Omija and Carrot pacts which have extremely yucky ~ off white cast even for the darker shade #23/#2 (at least for me), this one fits my skin color to a T. I like that using this pact is almost like using a moisturizing primer and a light coverage foundation in one single step.
I also like the scent, which is a fruity scent bordering on citrusy. None of those powdery and perfume-y fragrance which I hate.
What it can't do for you: The coverage is sheer. I guess if you build it up, you can get a medium coverage at best. This is meant for the Spring/Summer season so it is really meant to be applied lightly to get that no-makeup look. While it does not cause my face to oil up, I don't really think it has much oil control, so this is not one for those who want an oil absorbing pact (though I do use the Peach Sake Silky Powder to touch up within the day, so this too might work for you.)
You can get it at your SF stores, or at the shop as I brought a few pacts as stocks last May when I came home to Pinas.
This might seem like a PR thing aight? But I seriously love this pact. It trumps the pricey Lotree Pact (which is drying) and even BB Creams. I currently use only this pact and the Benefit Finding Mr. Bright Kit for my everyday office make-up. Saves me a lot of time getting ready for work!

Thank You, Benefit for FINDING MR. BRIGHT
Just to give you a clue of what I subject myself into just so I could get the most of my short time in Pinas: I arrive in Manila fresh from Davao on Tuesday morning, then went out to buy stuffs to bring to Seoul, met a friend for a bonding session in the afternoon, went home, had dinner with family, and off to the Airport for my 1 AM flight. Arriving on time in Incheon Airport at 6:15 AM, I changed into my office wear at Incheon’s powder room, took an airport express bus to Gangnam, dashed through a slight drizzle to the office and worked until 7 PM.
This is me on the evening of my arrival in Korea, finally at home, sleep deprived and yes, not having taken a bath at all.
I have admittedly bad skin, but I hate piling up stuffs on my face, so at Incheon airport, these are what I slapped on my face before rushing to the office: Benefit’s Finding Mr. Bright Kit, Lava Lipstick in 077 (Nude) and Skinfood’s Vita Tok Water Pact. No BB Cream or thick foundation whatsoever.
That illusion of freshness, I am sure, is because of Benefit’s Kit. So again, thank you, Benefit for your Finding Mr. Bright Kit:
It’s a set of four of Benefit’s Best Selling items in travel sizes.
Girl Meets Pearl - A liquid pearl for the face for that glow from within. The Benefit site advises to blend this on top of makeup but I use it only on the side of my face, on the jaw line and on the side of my nose.
Posie Tint – My current favorite lip and cheek tint at the moment. It gives a very pretty but natural pink flush. You do have to spread it quickly on your cheeks as it dries very fast. The best part? Amazingly long-wearing! 10 hours after application and the flush was still evident on my face!
High Beam- A liquid highlighter for the cheekbones and nose. The effect is subtle but yay it certainly gives a glowing aura and refines my features.
Erase Paste in Medium – I have dark marks on my face but I hate using concealers so of the four items, this is the product I seldom use. But it does help blur dark marks and fits perfectly with my complexion shade. I just don’t really like using concealers ☺
Benefit Products are a bit expensive so kits such as these are great. It allows neophyte users of this brand to try complementary items in small doses before buying full sizes. Admittedly, you only need a couple of dots/drops per application so I feel that my Finding Mr. Bright kit will last me a couple of months at the very least.
I bought the kit for 38USD at the Benefit Duty-Free Shop in Seoul , though I just found out that it costs only $37 at the Benefit US shop and they deliver to Korea for free with $115 purchase! I really have to cut on my spending haha so I can buy buy a backup of my Finding Mr. Bright Kit and try my other Benefit Lemmings – The Porefessional, Bella Bamba and Dandelion. What about you, what's your favorite Benefit Product? :-)

On my recent trip to the Philippines, I feasted on a lot of sweets.
Here’s a rundown and a comparison of the stuffs we had.
CONTI’S PASTRY SHOP, SOLENAD, NUVALI, STA. ROSA LAGUNA
The family had a late merienda cena at Conti’s on our way to Tagaytay. We ordered some pasta and appetizers with our sweets but since this is a cake and pastry review, let’s focus on the sweets! ☺
Conti’s Bananalicious Pie
I guess this is Conti’s take on a frozen Banana Cream Pie. The crust is a bit too salty for my liking (perhaps it has something to do with the butter?) but the filling itself was not too sweet. I just wished there were more banana flavors in the pie!
Conti’s Moist Chocolate Cake
This was my niece’s order. Despite her frowns haha I tried a few spoonfuls and the cake was good. Nothing spectacular, but it has a solid chocolate flavor and the crumb structure isn’t too dry, The niece loved the cake soo much she finished the big hunky slice all by herself (and ate the other cakes too!)
Conti’s NY Cheesecake
This was too sour for my taste. Not my cheesecake of dreams, but my brother, who loathes sickly sweet cakes, liked this.
Conti’s Mango Bravo
The shop’s signature cake and the only cake I kept going back to at Conti’s. It’s still as I remember it – pillowy meringue, sweet buttercream, mango topping and chocolate mousse. Disparate textures, yes? An unlikely tall cake. But it is surprisingly light and the flavors- sweet and sour (from the mangoes), creamy (from the butter cream) and chocolatey (from the mousse) works! I will come back to Conti’s again and again if only for this.
LACHI’S SANS RIVAL ATBP. MARFORI HEIGHTS, DAVAO CITY
After a day in Manila, I hopped on the plane to beloved Davao. Spell out cakes in Davao and you would know that it is synonymous to L-A-C-H-I-‘s. Lachi’s Sans Rival ATBP. is deceptively non-descript. It’s a small hole-in-the wall cake shop and restaurant with an utterly plain décor , at least by Manila standards, but that is what makes Lachi’s special. It doesn’t bank on ambiance, or big beautiful spaces. It doesn’t bank on anything except on the deliciousness that they have on offer. Some Manila-based visitors have tagged Lachi’s as the Conti’s of Davao. And I cringe! Haha, I don’t think so. Lachi’s offers better value for money. It is a neighborhood place. It has an air of friendliness that Conti’s doesn’t have. On a not so busy day, you can chitchat with the servers, and you can come to the shop in your pambahay and nobody would care (Try doing that at Conti’s in Serendra haha!). Yes, I am a Lachi’s diehard fan, precisely because it holds to par the things I look for at eating places offering comfort foods.
The cousins, brother and I went to Lachi’s for desserts after a late lunch at our favorite pizza place, Pizza Pamilya at the back of Victoria Mall.
The cakes:
Lachi’s Classic Sans Rival
This is the shop’s specialty. If you like crispy sans rival (as compared to the chewier kind) then you’ll love this. It is not so sweet so there is no umay factor. The brother compared this to the other Sans Rival we love, Polly’s Cakes Sans Rival (from Merville in Paranaque) and he commented that though Polly’s is sweeter, Lachi’s has better texture.
Lachi’s Symphony Torte Cake
A layer cake composed of sponge cakes, layers of chocolate ganache and butter cream. The cake is surprisingly light and we loved the deep chocolate flavor.
Lachi’s Choco-Vanilla Cheesecake
Isn’t this cheesecake a beauty? I know that Lachi’s built its name from its yummy Sans Rival but it is their cheesecakes that make me swoon. This Choco-Vanilla Cheesecake had the perfect balance of creamy-tartness and subtle chocolate flavor. These cheesecakes are baked and not of the gelatine ilk, which makes them really really creamy, with a soft mouth feel.
Lachi’s Dulce De Leche Cheesecake
My favorite cheesecake ever. Akin to Conti’s Mango Bravo, this is the cheesecake to which I compare all other cheesecakes. If I may say so myself, I bake a respectable , true blue cheesecake, but why bake a cheesecake when you can get this superb cheesecake at such an affordable price? The cheesecake is not too sour (unlike Conti’s!) but the clincher is the dulce de leche topping which makes an already great cheesecake into a swoon-worthy experience.
Lachi’s Apple Pie
My brother’s order. I do not really like apple pies, but the brother loves this because of the chunky apple pieces in the pie. No yucky, goopy pseudo-apple filling here.
MISS DESSERTS, SERENDRA, BONIFACIO GLOBAL CITY
On my last day in Pinas, I met up with an old friend for some chitchat sessions. After having pasta and the yummy Artichoke and Cream Cheese Dip at Café Mary Grace, we went to the nearby Miss Desserts because we wanted to try their new dessert, the Black Velvet Cake.
Of the three dessert shops I went to, this one was the most expensive. To be fair, although the shop is pretty small, the staffs were pretty accommodating and chitchatty. The shop didn’t have wifi but guess what, the staff gave me the password for a nearby establishment’s net connection! May pagka-usi rin ang server nila haha but I guess he was only trying to be friendly. He asked me why the service on my iphone was SMART when all iphones in Pinas were Globe locked. Haha, imagine nakita nya yun? Had to explain that my phone was on international roaming and automatically picks up the telco line with the strongest signal.
Back to the cake:
The Black Velvet Cake itself was good. We loved the boiled icing and the cake was not dry. I read from some reviews that they experienced a dry Red Velvet Cake but I guess we were lucky to have been there on a good cake day for the pastry chef.
I also bought a few personal sized sugar-free cakes and brought them with me to Seoul – Carrot Cake, Butter Cake and another marble cake thing. Of the three, the best was the Butter Cake. Really buttery and sweet! I asked the server and he told me they use Stevia which is great as this is an all natural sweetener, not one of those artificial aspartame stuffs.

The verdict: I will always love Conti’s Mango Bravo but at the moment, it is Lachi’s that stands as my favorite cake place. It is, to put it simply, unpretentiously great.
